My wife, Janet, retired in September, 2000. She is enjoying retirement and having time to do many things, including reading, various physical activities, volunteering, quilting, and her many hand crafts. She keeps fit by walking, regular excercise at a health club, and cross-country skiing in the winter. As a matter of fact, I think she would cross-country ski every day if she could.
My daughter, Nancy, is 36 and a world traveler (she has been in so many countries that I have lost count). Bilingual in Spanish and English, for three years she taught Spanish and assisted with an accompanying outdoor education program at a private school in Colorado. In 2006 she finished a Master's degree at the University of Oregon in Cultural Geography. She and husband Sean Bowditch began respective graduate degrees at Syracuse University in the fall of 2006. Am I a proud papa or what?
My son, David, is 34 and a Program Director for Leopard Marketing and Communications near Denver. His speciality is engineering, project management, and computer applications. He loves skiing, mountain hiking, to do his own cooking (he has been cooking many of his own meals since he was seven), and spending time with his many friends. We adore his fiance, Rachel Timbie. How did he get so tall anyway!! What a guy!
