The Adult Education Research Conference [AERC], originally the National Seminar on Adult Education Research, was organized in 1960 as a forum for adult education researchers who wanted to benefit from sharing research ideas and materials.  After meeting annually for six years, it was decided that its size and tradition warranted a more formal organization.

Description

 

     The Adult Education Research Conference was originally the

National Seminar on Adult Education Research,  organized in 1960

as a forum for adult education researchers who wanted to benefit

from sharing research ideas and materials.  After meeting

annually for six years, it was decided that its size and

tradition warranted a more formal organization.

 

     This portion of the collection includes correspondence,

memoranda, programs, abstracts and drafts.  Correspondents whose

letters are of greatest number and depth include those of

Virginia Griffin, Arden Grotelueschen, Roy J. Ingham, Allen

Menlo, and Allen Tough.
